This may have been covered before, but I ran a search and came up with nothing. Is the stencilled “eye” on Dumbarton Road (opposite Woolworths under Partick bridge) an advert for Big Brother? Also, has anyone deciphered the meaning of the bizarre graffiti in the Botanics tunnel/platform? Tim.

St Vincent Crescent, Finnieston

Am I right in thinking that this 19th century bowling green is now the PC World/Officeworld carpark?

Milk Crate Gang website

Using a bit of Timmy Magic, I've managed to find the MCG's website as archived by an Internet Snapshot resource. Unfortunately there are no photos, but the text is intact. http://web.archive.org/web/19981206130940/http://www.waverleyltd.co.uk/subway/ Who said I wasn't resourceful? Tim.

There was a article in the paper (can't remember which one, could have been the Evening Times) not too long ago which said that this building, which is on the site of the new Glasgow Harbour development, was going to be taken down brick by brick and rebuilt somewhere else on the same site I found t...

[...] The murder itself took place on West Princes Street in one of the houses right opposite Queen's Crescent - I can't remember which one. The murder took place at 49 West Princes Street. His case also led to the appeal system in Scots Law as prior to that particular miscarriage of justice, there...

I just got home and saw the tunnel. I also used to think it was a bridge.
Where does this tunnel emerge?

Timchilli: The Lanarkshire and Dunbartonshire Railway used to run underneath Hyndland station, there is a tunnel under the platform. If travelling westbound on the train, you might notice it out the left hand side window. I'll have a look on my way home from work. Is the tunnel visible before you a...

Re. the old Partick station. Remember the entrance was next to Woolworths on Dumbarton Rd. Yes, I noticed the old entrace the other day. It's rather narrow for such a busy interchange station. I realise that "access-chat" is not permitted on this forum, but is the entire site inaccessible? I've wal...

has anyone got photos of the old Partick Station (the one visible from the current platforms)? I've seen some old photos, but was wondering if anyone has ever gained access (or been stuck on the train at that point) to take photos.

Cheers,

Tim.
