I thought that too - but the Corinthian is lighter sandstone.

I'm sloppy; you're pedantic. Who really gives a fuck?

Let's move on.

I still say it's an exterior feature of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, facing the Kelvin Hall.

Not too much, up until about 20-22yrs ago, the area now occupied by the Bookies and a Farmfoods had houses. If I recall rightly, they were the same style as the ones still on Anniesland Rd toward Scotstounhill, but they were derelict for years as I remember me and my mates would try and get in them...

8O I would never have guessed that location if it wasn't for the present shot. First time I've ever seem a before for this area, always wondered about it. I can vaguely remember the the Shopping centre being built when I first started school (Bankhead). The individual shops were bare and boarded up...

To see this demolished would be a travesty. A few questions spring to mind: 1. Was the house completely gutted by the fire? 2. Was it derelict before the fire? 3. Could a member of the public purchase the building in its current state? 4. What kind of figure are we looking at to refurb the house? Tim

Planning Application - Arnold Clark, Vinicombe Street

Picked up a flyer about this the other day and thought it merited a mention on here:

http://www.myspace.com/botanicgardensgarage

Arnold Clark want to demolish this listed building and replace it with a new 4-storey structure incorporating flats, cottages, retail space, and a restaurant.

You can enjoy modified cars and cars in general without wearing a burberry cap and carrying a blade. And most modified cars cost ALOT to do up like that, more money than any ned would ever have. :D Why is it then I've yet to see a driver of a modified car (ie, an old banger of a car with "Manu...

Good to see our Council tax being put to as good a use as ever. Maybe we should initiate a daily routine of asking Alex Glass to switch the lights off when he's finished for the day. Has anyone seen the Great Global Warming Swindle when it was aired on Channel 4? Fantastic documentary - really scupp...

Thought I'd resurrect this thread to see if anyone knows of any on-line, viewable OS maps prepared anytime from circa 1900 - 1970.

Cheers
