Does anyone remember queuing up way around the corner in University Avenue when the Shish celebrated it's birthday (can't remember which one) and charged the same prices as when they opened. I do !!!

Hi all, I'm a singer/musician and can do guitar lessons to a reasonably advanced (gigging) level and I'm quite happy to barter. Hi hj - could I be cheeky and ask for a bit of free advice? My son (age 13) wants an electric guitar for his birthday any ideas for a reasonable starter one? Ta in advance...

"Away back in time" I used to go to the Casa D'Italia on a Sunday evening the only other place to go on a Sunday apart from the Lorne Hotel (I was under age by the way) The Casa was quite exclusive and you had to know an Italian to sign you in... Luckily - I did :D That's what they told y...

I've just noticed this thread and I have checked back - on some of it (promise) :) However has Tesco been granted permission for a superstore/student accommodation? I ask because someone has just told me that Tesco have also bought the petrol station in Whiteinch too! Maybe you are all Tesco lovers ...

Strangely, I read earlier today that George Square was, when first built up, a private garden surrounded by posh townhouses and the like. Before then it was a marsh, used for drowning unwanted animals. I'll leave it to others to draw any parallels. I think I read that myself about the private garde...
