"the" is probably excluded as a stop word. common words like the,it,of,a,for etc etc are normally excluded from searches for obvious reasons. i'd guess phpbb has a 3 letter minimum, i.e. 2 letters + the * will work. Full marks to Duncan! You should get into the website business young man ::):

The Blue Lagoon on Dumbarton Road is OK and I've been to Harry Ramsdens to sit in with my old auntie (old folks like that sort of thing) and it was also tasy.
