Uni demolitions 60s and 70s

Simba,

If you want to see more pictures of the area around the Uni that were demolished in those decades, try to get a hold of the book 'A Hillhead Album' by Henry Morton. It's pricey to buy, but you can probably see a copy in the Mitchell Glasgow Room.

Antiques/Collectors Fair Kelvin Hall

Its usually held on a Sunday and they give out leaflets which detail the next couple of dates.
I wasn't able to go to the last one, so I can't help with dates, but it is usually announced in the Evening Times What's on, or in the Glaswegian etc.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Thanks for the tips, Dexter. :)
I did say the website was basic - I'm only a learner! It's Work In Progress.
I think maybe the tunnel theory and aluminium hats are steps too far, but I'll bear the rest in mind.

Just a note on the previous suggestion of Libraries. Our Club gets leaflets printed every year showing our syllabus and membership details at some cost for a small Club. We rely on the Libraries to distribute them and display them to increase our membership. A couple of years ago and again this year...

Jordanhill/Scotstounhill area

There is an excellent website which concentrates mainly on Jordanhill and the surrounding area. I haven't checked if it mentions Muttonhole, but take a look. This guy is really great and has super photos.

I also noticed the mis-naming of Great Western Road and emailed them to tell them of their mistake. I got an answer acknowledging my email and they were going to get it sorted. Is it still wrong? I guess it will take some time before the change filters down to all the sites.

Glasgow Subway - Partick (Merkland Street)

At some point in this thread, I read that someone thought that the subway station had been moved when the rail station and subway were brought together in one building. I don't remember that happening, but they did move the rail station from one side of the Dumbarton Road Bridge to the other at that...
