I was initially in a better position (without the crane in view) but just before the finale, everyone was moved behind a line - right behind the crane!

Note the wee radio-controlled helicopter in the picture. :D

After 3 days of waiting and watching I finally managed to get some pictures of the multicoloured flats - all this spare time - it definitely pays off being a teacher! Looking at these posts reminded me of being in the Scotia pool hall a good few years back. Place was packed (this was about 2 in the afternoon) and two steamers were playing pool at the table next to me and me mates. Then through the door comes some skinhead, smashes a glass over one of the steamers...

All this talk of reopening railway lines is very interesting but like most proposed ventures touted about they seem to be pipe dreams.
If only those in charge would get their finger out...speculate to accumulate - improve public transporation!

The Tennent's building was demolished. Initial rumours had it that it was going to be the site for one of these new "superschools". However, that piece of "taxi gossip" never came to fruition and now a B&Q warehouse sits there. Regarding Gartcosh, the steelworks was demolished...I think in the 8...
