Re: Last Famous Person You Saw On The Streets Of Glasgow was...

Rewatched Red Riding a fortnight ago and saw Shaun Harris - Det. Sgt. Bob Craven in Hillfoot Street, Dennistoun. Also today I think I saw John Smeaton on the same street.

Richmond Park

Can't believe today was the first I have ever been in this park and left really sad. I believe this is the most under-rated, under-used area of Glasgow I have ever come across. And what about the old path on the southside of the Clyde that used to run through the park to God knows where? Does anyone...

Re: Is your Broadband shite?

Just checked again on this site http://www.top10-broadband.co.uk/speedtest/ . ISP is Talk Talk, and I use iBook G4 PPC 10.4.11 with a wireless connection. Down 6.83 Mbps Talk Talk average 3.54 Mbps! Up 0.77 Mbps Talk Talk average 0.47 Mbps! Apparently my local exchange is Bridgeton and I have a line...

Re: Is your Broadband shite?

I'm with Talk Talk and me and the wife always find the upload speed less than desirable. However, I've just carried out a speedtest http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and it says I've got 6 Mbps Up and 577 kbps Down.

Re: Glasgow River Festival 25 - 26 July 2009

I said something similar last year http://www.hiddenglasgow.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7234 . The council just don't seem to have the desire to make it a really interesting festival. I totally agree that other than jet skis and watching the sky plane land there isn't much else to do.

Re: Glasgow River Festival 25 - 26 July 2009

Does nobody else feel that the river festival was a bit of a damp squib (pardon the pun) this year. I went about 2pm on the Saturday and granted the weather probably caused the numbers to swell but it was just chaos on the southbank. Next to Bells bridge there was a gap just wide enough to get a pra...

Re: Invalid URL

Don't worry it's just a different pic of the dark clown.
The pic url is given as http://www.flickr.com/photos/29403951@N08/3750598208/
I try pasting this into the box but it's still not recognised.

Re: Glasgow Central Station walkthrough

Nobody on this post or here http://www.hiddenglasgow.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=169 has made any reference to the orbs in some of the subterranean pics.

Invalid URL

All - any suggestions.

I'm trying to change my avatar using a rescaled image on my flickr site. When I try to copy the url into the off-site avatar box and submit I continually get a message telling me the url is invalid.
Any thoughts/suggestions.

Re: Dalmarnock Station Refurbishment For 2014

I know they're working on bridge removal in this area. Are they removing the bridge that runs over Dalmarnock Road and houses the arches where the east end sawmill used to be located? and for conspiracy theorists East End Saw mills suffered a fire recently. And now it's moving. It's already moved do...

Re: Sharon!! (Wid ye NO)

The wine should be served chilled. Additionally, you want to check the vintage, on the base of the bottle there is a number embossed in the glass. The lower the number the better the vintage. If you manage to get one below 25 you should have a good bottle. Anything around 10 and you'll have a magic ...
