Devastating.
If some repulsive architecture is erected on that site I'll personally burn it down (with the occupants inside).

The Shack has given me some great nights out avec mes amis - much cheap booze and not much sobriety... have also put in many solid shifts of wooing and met some crackers within those four walls. It's a great shame that this place will most probably be knocked down. Let's hope the current Glaswegian ...

I got hold of my house's title deeds the other month... quite interesting to leaf through 120+ year-old documents written in the most indecipherable calligraphic script. Turns out that the Oswald family feued the land and amongst its owners, James and Georgina Jane McDonald Walker (of Walker's Store...

Most helpful, Ronnie. Thanks for that.

Two summers ago the Covenanters' Prison area was sealed off because of the number of "paranormal activities" taking place within its confines. Apparently tourists were experiencing poltergeists in full effect -- grabbing, throttling, etc. etc. I remember reading an article on it when I was working t...

Scotway House, Castlebank Street.

Anyone got the goods on this place? I've tried the Mitchell and The Glasgow Story but to no avail. Google only turns up spurious "private detective" agencies operating out of this derelict building. Above the entrance is a lintel with the date 1885 engraved, and despite it being completely boarded-u...

Cheers, James.
Actually, I have photos of the cleaners' room which, ironically enough, is the messiest room in the whole jail. I'll post them once Geocities reinstates my data transfer allocation.

Cheers,

Tim.

The compression/resizing/resolution is pretty shit on the photos I've posted, but if you're interested in bigger/better quality photos for a frontpage section etc. then email me and I'll send 'em along. I should've mentioned... this shot shows the entrance to the prison. It's quite bizarre -- you wa...

Thanks, guys. I intend to get some shots of the upstairs cells in the next two days (there is a different access point and I need different authorisation). So stay tuned! Here's some more photos in the meantime. I have plenty more from today (about 35+), so I'll get to work uploading & thumbnail...

While we're on the subject, does anyone remember the petrol pumps that used to be located in the car park to the Jolly Giant on Crow Road next to Jordanhill Station? I always wondered why they were there; anyone know if a station stood there at one point? AFAIK, they were diesel pumps.

Is Liz Cameron's the only LP property with one single lamp? In fact, her lamp is not free-standing -- instead it is fastened to the facade of her house.
