Re: NCP Car Park - Ingram Street

It's not the fact that it's going to be a hotel that's bothering me, as such, it's the fact that it's 6-storeys which will tower above City Halls and the other buildings.

Re: Forth and Clyde Canal

I've just noticed that the Auchentoshan Distillery is near the canal at the Erskine Bridge. That's going to make the cycle back a lot easier ::):

NCP Car Park - Ingram Street

I live across the road from this (my flat looks onto it) and I've just received a notice that a planning application has been put in for a 6 storey hotel to be built on the site with retail units on the ground floor. Great. I seem to remember something about part of the space being turned into green...

Re: Glasgow department stores

Wow! I decided to go Googling for photos and found a post by dazzababes on another forum with photos of everything I was just talking about! Haha, nice one! Brings back a few memories. Good to see a couple of those awful electric cars sitting there with the shit kicked out of them. Haha. I don't kno...

Re: Glasgow department stores

I worked in the Goldbergs building when it was Weisfelds. I started before it opened and we were in cleaning weeks before. It was a mess inside, but the big brass handrails on the stairs and everything were obviously still there - just filthy. The whole building was full of little passages, in the b...

That would be cleaning up the place! Eek!

Re: Clyde Bridges

I don't think any bridge that's built can blame high winds for ripping a part off it. They need to be built to withstand anything like that. There are bridges standing for decades that would hold up in a tornado.

Probably :D
