Murst Bater Wanes

Oh oh.
In my experience burst mains are like 57 buses. Don't see one for ages then 3 or 4 come along together.

It's something to do with shock in the pipes.

Hi Alycidon

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to place everything on the ground as I see it when out with the dog. I had no idea that this railway line was so well used!
Brilliant pictures BTW.
I'm reading through the Monklands page just now.

Thanks.

Doberman.

Alycidon. Hi there. Just a thought. Did the line have a high level and a low level line? When I walk along it, I notice that there appears to be a higher spur which begins at the back of the graveyard on the South side of the bridge. I'm fairly sure there was a bridge crossing the burn further down ...

It's all about how the council is one BIIIIG team. How we all do our bit. How we're all as important as each other from the directorate down.
What I want to know is, if that's the case, why do only team leaders and above get parking permits?

I'm gonna miss that place my a$$.. It's still there ! ;-) It's well underway as far as reconstruction into flats goes. A load of ghosts aren't going to be happy about it. We tried to get an investigation going in there but the developers were not too happy about the possibility of us telling prospe...

Duke St Hospital

mgibson wrote:Does anyone have any photos of Duke Street Hospital, or any information about it?

I've got some shots taken inside the Hospital while it was being rebuilt. A friend got the contract for the steelwork and asked me to take some for him.

I'll dig them out and upload them.

Southside Gangs

The Bundy came from Pollok, The Toon from Arden.

As kids, we watched them fight in the fields between the two areas (now Darnley).

The police would sit in a van on the main road and pick up the wounded.
