Re: Staglieno

Sadly, as you can see, Photobucket, which offered free hosting for years (the reason I used it in the first place) has decided to try and rob all it's previous users by suddenly blanking out their pictures and charging a £50 - £400 per year as ransom. I'm afraid I won't be paying them a penny, a gr...

Re: Best Italian Restaurants

I would definitely recommend the newly located Sapori D'italia as well as Buongiorno . Both are my favourites. In 2005 lived in Italy, now remember my sunny days visiting the mentioned above ones. The staff and warm atmosphere, needless to say, awsome food makes me feel like I am back to Italy. Rea...

Re: St Mary's Church Drumchapel Rebuilt

Drumry St Mary’s Church’s congregation dwindled when people began to leave Drumchapel with the demolition of the tower blocks and other residential buildings. As a result, Church of Scotland’s services ceased and the building was put up for sale.

Re: Staglieno

An in-cemetery bus service? Not bad :) That second-last one's quite something - what an expression. How on earth would you even begin to learn how to sculpt like that? (Go to an art school or be apprenticed in about 1850 I suppose, but you know what I mean.) I need to visit more Italian cemeteries...

Re: Staglieno

Marvellous TD. I was lucky enough to spend an afternoon in Rome's Verano cemetery recently (I didn't see all of it, even with the in-cemetery bus service), and rather wished I had someone with TD's knowledge to show me round! Anyway... http://i451.photobucket.com/albums/qq231/rabmania/roma%202015/DS...

Re: Forgotten Pubs & Clubs in Glasgow

I think it's been there with the Douglas Gordon 'Empire' sign for a number of years now. Caged off recently, with the lane being gated.
