Re: Hmmmmm.....Alien War 1991-92

Well, My brother and I took his 12-year-old son to Alien Wars on Saturday, and is was heartening to see it very busy indeed! They did take us in as "the group with the kids", so I assume it was toned down a bit. It was brilliant fun winding the wee fella up because he was nervous as hell! ...

Re: Old Athenaeum theatre pics

I used to go there frequently to attend 'Fools Paradise' comedy festival hosted by Phil Kay. I remember me and my friend bought tickets for the balcony to ensure we wouldn't get picked on from the stage. The first thing the performer did was climb up and attack me with a feather pillow. He was reall...

Re: Weren't they trying to get rid of Glasgow's high rises?

The area of Marseille in which it is located has a large number of buildings of roughly the same size, the difference being that the buildings are not crammed together blocking sunlight, there are lovely green spaces around the building as well as public space to play and sit. Making it a much more...

Re: Botanic Gardens Station Re-building Proposal

Has anyone seen what they've done at Botanic Gardens now? They've cut back a lot of trees at the entrance to reveal an old tudor-style building similar to the one next to the gate, but it is very neglected and has old trees growing from it…
