Re: Hidden History of Mental Health: Mitchell Library 6 - 20 Oct

did anyone go and see this exhibition yet? I think they used some of my photos (and possibly some other folks here?), but I've not had a chance to see it.

the shape of it might suit the market idea. basically long station platforms, with a couple minor spaces that could be separate rooms. the platforms wouldn't accommodate anything much larger than market stalls. of course, if you filled in the tracks (or removed the platforms) so it was all one level...

Coincidentally I got an email today from an ex-resident: I wanted to thank you for posting your Humbie slideshow on the web. I spent two summer terms there in the 50's when it was very much a Child...

Re: Last Famous Person You Saw On The Streets Of Glasgow was

A colleague met Sean Connery in a airline lounge during the summer, a friendly question & answer conversation was had, cut a long story short he (Tam) ended their conversation with "Petula Clark, up the arse 1967" hasn't this passed into urban myth by now? sat next to Magnus Magnusson in a coff...

I nipped in as normal at lunchtime, except I spotted a typical film crew bunch hanging about outside. they stopped me going in straight away, until someone else left. when i went in, the usual middle-aged asian ...

Sorry am i missing something here? graffiti is an eyesore, it is vandalism. The city is a pure mess, every where ye look its full of daft scribbles, even on road signs. I dont reckon it should be given any attention in any way. Posting it on the web gives these folk more publicity than they already...

slightly off-topic scary story: http://www.guardian.co.uk/attackonlondon/story/0,16132,1575532,00.html The train enters the station. Uniformed police officers appear on the platform and surround me. They must immediately notice my French accent, still strong after living more than 12 years in London...

the problem comes when the Police start using them in less-serious cases, i.e. not just as a replacement for firearms officers. e.g. at protest marches, on non-violent offenders, handcuffed offenders, etc. Or they 'fall into the wrong hands' (read: crooked Police sell them to their criminal pals) Am...
