The old Public halls in Springburn...
I know it's not demolished but it's in pretty bad nick.
I'd have loved a looksee in it in it's heyday.

Hmm...sounds like couriers to me? It's true that some people are assholes whatever they're driving/cycling, but whether you're a 'Professional' or just a recreational cyclist, you're bound to fall afoul of one of those 'few' sooner or later whether you abide by the rules or not. I wear a helmet and ...

Try the gloves...do. I've taken a couple of spills in my time and seeing the fabric ripped to shreds is a lot better than the skin of your hand, believe me.
Get black or red ones. You'll feel like a...a superhero. You will.

Unless you're wearing a helmet.

Canny imagine not being able to scoot about on my bike these days - living in Dublin it's the only way to make it anywhere on the grid-locked roads...and it's the fastest...and the most life threatening. But whats it like in Glasgow, cos I never really see that many when I'm over? Is it as dangerous...

Me and some kids on our street got to meet Glen Michael in a studio in Cowcaddens. I had a spiderman 8th Birthday card up on the wall.
I remember it was dark, and he smelled 'old'.

Paladdin didn't say anything either...

Very disappointed.

You know when you're driving on the M8 Edinburgh direction and you go through the Charing Cross tunnel...that wall junction that splits off to Dumbarton scares me. Especially as it exerts an uncanny psycho-magnetic drag that makes you feel like you might just not turn and drive headlong into it...bl...

Arching your back and having a huge stretch just as the plane has touched down and decelerating heavily.

Ah...there's more than one! I knew my memories on this were a little fuzzy. Bridge builders and their unfinished follies over the M8 unite. Tay House WAS built on a Bridge to Nowhere, but I can't find much on Google about it apart from disparaging remarks about the architecture. Proves how much atte...

This one brings back some memories... Back in my old Strathclyde Uni days we had to do a building project on the hideous Tay House stretching over Charing Cross. Turned out it's design 'concept' was based on the 'Bridge to Nowhere' (which is why it maybe looks a bit unfinished too!)- and the researc...

Was googling for random interesting stuff about Glasgow, and came across a number of Glasgows other than our beloved own. I wondered about it a wee bit, but was glad to quickly find this guys site http://bmcphee.com/glasgow_places.htm who seems to have exhaustively researched it. Hidden glasgows bey...

Hi everyone! I've been reading Hidden Glasgow for a good while now - been living in Dublin the past seven years but will always be a Weegie in heart and soul! I go home several times a year, and am always expected to lay on the full tour with a side of fries. Always on the lookout for new mad places...
