I too live in R-glen, approx 300yds from the station (which will be under the M74), so will be able to hear it as clearly as I can currently hear the trains, and am completely in favour of finally completing the link. Its a shame they can't tunnel it under eglinton toll though, but I believe the rai...

Can I just give the other view - as a resident of Rutherglen I am delighted. The main street should cease to be an exhaust filled car park for much of the day, traffic in the residential streets used as rat-runs will be reduced, and there will finally be a sensible route across Glasgow (East to West...

Does anyone know what is happening in the adjacent site to the east of the graveyard?

Is that not on the line of the M74 extension - it crosses the river about there - see http://www.m74completion.com/m74/images/INFOBoard3_2003_lg.jpg

Could be persuaded for some exploration-by-bike - its a great way to get to disused / derelict buildings etc., and you have the speed advantage when any neds take offence.

Normally I'm away blasting offroad at weekends though, or sinking in the swamp called Cathkin Braes .....

That was (?is?) behind Farme Cross, on the netrance gate to the dodgy looking compound on the Clyde. The place which can be seen from the walkway behind Belvidere with American flags flying, old trucks and loud music

On that basis, I have been offered the following, but as its not local to me, some brave foot soldier would need to go and confirm: Langbank Street, Gorbals - 30 feet long runs off Eglinton Street. I paid a visit to the area today, but couldn't find much evidence of a street. Photo gives it away to...

Could be game - heres a pictorial guide to the route from Glasgow Green to Bothwell bridge, which I did for a teenagers sponsored cycle http://www.btinternet.com/~grahamd/cycle/ From there to Strathclyde park is a bit dodgy, as you have to cross Raith interchange at the turned-off pedestrian crossin...

Exit Crosshill station, turn right into Cathcart Road, and its about 100 yds along on your left. There is a 3rd lanark logo embedded in t...
