For me it's a toss up between Mother India (and Mother India's cafe) and Balbir's on Church St. IMO they're miles ahead of any other curry house I've been too. The ingrediants are so fresh, the cooking great and they've all got great atmospheres. Anarkali on Viccy road is deifnitely a bit of a hidde...

I've got a Glasgow sky line pic on my wall taken from the Cathkin Braes. Can't find it online, nor any info on the photographer (Fraser Halkett) but it is stunning! If anyone can get up there with a camera it would make for a great shot.

There is one at Danes Drive (directly opposite the playfields at Scotstoun Leisure centre - just as you come over the bridge from Westland Drive), when I was a postman I was always curious to find out why they where there. It is a corner house and the lights are mounted into the street outside the ...

I remember that rumour too, think I was about 10 at the time! (c.1992) They used to tell you that they'd abduct you and if they were feeling happy they'd 'only' slash either side of your mouth to give you a permanant smile! What a load of crap! Really scared me at the time though! I was much more sc...

Cool! Panoramas of Glasgow are extremely hard to come by, a couple of christmas's ago my GF got me one by a guy called Fraser Halkett taken from the Cathkin Braes, but it was a bit of a struggle to find one. The only other one I've seen is from Colin Prior and is just of the west end. There are some...

When I was at primary school we were taken on days out to the Mercat (i think around 1992-3 ish). It didn't last long from what I remember and you're right the building now lies empty. It was on the outskirts of Drumchapel shopping centre, which is now just a collection of empty shops and unemployed...

Sorry to but in on this post, but I've heard that there are some excellent views of Glasgow from the necropolis although I've never ventured up there.

Are there any links to sites with pics taken of Glasgow from up there, or any other glasgow panoramas?

Cheers
