their was blinding white flash in the sky and a very loud bang which did not sound like a firework.all the street lights went outbut the domestic supply was ok apart from a flickering of lamps and tv

i grew up in a banksmans cottage on the forth and clyde canal at cloberhill
(knightswood) the canal was still quite busy then happy days fishing in the
canal and watching the boats go by :D
