Gorbals Street Trees

I was walking along Gorbals Street today and there were tree surgeons everywhere, taking down the trees by the railway line, opposite the new development where the Stirlingfauld flats used to be. Why? Anyone know?

Re: The fecking place is boilin!

I see the tundra has set in. I'm going to plant a sign at the end of the road that says, "Dig your own mammoth - £5".

That way I get my veggie patch turned over and paid for it. I wonder if I'll be released in time to plant seeds. :)

I'm fairly sure the second lot of Fountainwell flats went down in November as did Norfolk Court.

Re: Insects, Spiders and Creepie-Crawlies

I put a wasp out the window today. I don't think I've seen one so late in the year. November, yes, but a bit earlier in the month. A month or so ago, I had one that kept coming into the kitchen. I assume it was the same one as there were never two at the same time as you might expect from a nest nea...

Re: Glasgow’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Sad to have to report the passing of Jack Bruce (b. Bishopbriggs), bassist with Cream and John Mayall's Blues Breakers :(

Glasgow in Minecraft

https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/ne ... inescraft/

A 15yo lad is creating Glasgow in Minecraft. A considerable undertaking, I would imagine, and by the time he's finished, he'll have to knock-down/set-on-fire half of it... ;)

Godd to see the Royal Scots Grey Deltic still rumbling around, passing across Gorbals Street this morning.

Re: wildlife in glasgows queens park.

I've heard an owl calling from that direction recently. There's a pair of swans that visit regularly.
