[quote="Mori"]Some images of the Kelvin bank proposal.

Lovely pictures Mori, but they don't show the traffic congestion that this horrendous sized building will cause.

That's what the grey stuff is in the pics, Mags....it's a vinyl (sp) covering to prevent water ingress much like is used in flat roofing. The ship had been through a lot the last 30 years and unfortunatley the lack of finance has took it's toll and the situation is where it is today. I'll get some ...

Tesco development

This development would totally dominate the skyline of the Partick area, especially along Beith Street. The 2 storey houses across Beith Street from this proposed monstrosity would hardly get any sunlight. It looks like something from an eastern block country. Can you imagine the amount of extra tra...

Is it compulsive to introduce yourself here first? Sorry if I should have.
I'm Mags from Partick. Moved here just over 2 years ago from the countryside, but have really taken to city life. Love the Hidden Glasgow site.

Good restaurants

There's a new restaurant along Dumbarton Road called The Kail Yard Green. Went there last week. The food is excellent and staff very friendly. Lovely small intimate restaurant. Must also mention the Mother India Cafe which we frequent a lot. Some of the best curries in town. I should know as me and ...

I'm all for the new Transport Museum on the Clyde, but why oh why can't they appoint a local (Scottish) Architect for the job? Glasgow has so many good Architects - I used to work for one many years ago. There seems to be a trend these days for appointing "foreign" people for top jobs (that goes for...
