I just remembered (I think) the name of the music shop. Cuthbertsons. It was entered from Cambridge Street, then down a short staircase and was a basement shop. It was also accessible from Littlewoods, as I said earlier.

Have you contacted the Mitchell Library? They hold some employment records in their archive and the University also has records from some Glasgow firms.
